“A place to work, meet, act, grow and create – together. The architectural expression is simple with associations to factory iconic profile. The facades are treated with a focus on building large scale and all windows and solar awnings is scaled to the size. The fixed awnings are designed from the exact study of the sun in order to create optimal sun protection compared to daily operation and energy frame. IKEA-meeting-center-by-Dorte-Mandrup-Arkitekter-02The building complex consists of three volumes, one of which is a parking-house. The office and meeting center is designed as two squares, connected diagonally. This creates significant spatial links in the house as well as outdoor. Daylight for all work stations created in one square using a factory-profile-rooflight that let the light through a continuous atria strategically located in the building volume.”
