Under the theme of the Regional Development of The Suez Canal Vision 2050: A New Financial Center for Egypt which will represent it’s Economic & Business development in front of the World. This project will mainly work on Egypt’s Economic Growth & GDP (Gross Domestic Production).
For this goal to be accomplished we must use Egypt’ resources to its maximum potentialOne of the major unused recourses is labor, which if used properly the GDP will increase in large rates. Also the idea of Egypt becoming a World City So that it gains competitiveness as a world city for the special business and financial district it will have and the quality of life it will contain.
Site Selection : It Is to be located east of Cairo and just outside the Second Greater Cairo Ring Road in a currently largely undeveloped area halfway to the seaport city of Suez. According to the plans, the city would become the new administrative and financial capital of Egypt.
Project’s Main Concept What ?
•The main idea is making the user priority number one while designing
•so the general theme is “A Day In The Life Of The User ”
•Decrease the gap between the planner & user
•Help promote the creation of new habitable environment matched to cultural tradition& equitable distribution & use of resources
•By studying the various kinds of users coming to the project and the different entrances , an info graphic analysis was made to illustrate their different circulation paths .
•Taking all these factors into consideration the project layout zoning was designed to provide the most suitable configuration for all of the users.
•The new principles of urbanism was applied in the design where walk ability rates were taken into consideration , auto mobiles were designed to not intersect with pedestrian movement and the design was made to match the Egyptian culture but in a modern way .
Facade Pattern: Dynamic Shell is used on the south facing fascade to protect interior spaces from solar gain. Where it contains sensors that allow opening to enlarge or contract depending on the outdoor climate.
It is also raised to act as a wind catcher to the wind from north direction and designed to allow cross ventilation with the courts designed in the towers. Source by Sara Adel.
