Sumaida + Khurana and LENY have commissioned world renowned, Pritzker Prize-winning Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza, to design 611 West 56th Street, an ultra-luxury condominium in Manhattan that will be Siza’s first building in the United States.
Located at 823 11th Avenue at the corner of 56th Street in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, 611 West 56th Street measures 162,000 square feet, over 420 feet tall and to be 35 stories. The building will include approximately 80 residences ranging from one- to four-bedrooms and penthouses.
Michael Gabellini and Kimberly Sheppard will work with Siza to design the building’s interiors. New York–based SLCE Architects will serve as the architect of record. Construction will begin summer 2016, and the building is expected to be complete in 2019. Source by Sumaida + Khurana.
