The intention of the project is to provide Sóller with a modern cultural infrastructure meeting the needs of its citizens.
Due to the patrimonial nature of the building, we decided to integrate the technologies of a contemporary multifunctional theater respecting the cataloged elements as much as possible. For this reason, the concept of “box-in-box” is applied, that is, to introduce a new box inside the existing building.
This new box will incorporate all the facilities and technologies necessary for the new uses of the building. This new element will articulate around it all the interior spaces and different activities that can be developed at the same time in the building. Source by JA arquitectura.
