World Wide Group and Rose Associates, the developers behind 252 East 57th Street – a striking curved glass tower anchoring the eastern end of Manhattan’s 57th Street luxury residential corridor– announced today that the development won the prestigious Urban Land Institute (ULI) Design Award for Excellence in Mixed-Use Development at the Third Annual Awards Gala at Gotham Hall.
The free-standing 700 foot, 65-story sculpted glass tower between 56th street and 57th Street on Second Avenue was built on the prior location of the High School of Art and Design and encompasses 650,000 square feet. This multifaceted development was designed by internationally recognized architectural firm, SOM.
The luxury tower includes a thoughtful collection of amenities within the exclusive 34th Floor Club, a gated interior porte-cochere with New York City’s largest residents-only automated parking garage, electric car charging stations, as well as a 75-foot swimming pool, state-of-the-art hydrotherapy circuit spa, children’s playroom, dog playroom and grooming station, and personalized concierge services by Luxury Attaché.
