My new project , the “White Mosque” was designed with a modern look at religious temples. Unlike traditional Shirvan style architecture, it was made completely through a new prism of modern architecture.
The project of the mosque recalls the form of a yurt (chadyra), taken from ancient times, the epic Dede Gorgud.
I reckon that it would be even more better if every period has its own approach which can give an opportunity to create different and unique styles.
The main colour of Mosque will be white, which represents purity of Islam religion and love towards God. The total area of project consists of 20000kv/m.
While the area of Mosque will be 3500 kv/m and the conference and meeting centers will be around 2000 kv/m.
The complex intends to host international events, conferences, modern religious education center along with religious rites. Moreover, it is planned to build underground parking space for visitors as well.
The project will take into account all the necessary infrastructure details for the convenience of visitors coming to the mosque.
I believe that this place will be permanent place of visit as the modern architectural monument among all the local and international people.
“The location of the mosque next to Baku White City and Primorsky Boulevard will make it attractive not only for believers, but also for tourists, “said Fikret Gasimzade.
It is a new breath and new page which will open new horizons in the modern architecture. Source and images Courtesy of Fikrat Gasimzada.
