Bangkok Mediplex is pioneering the concept of one-stop shopping for all healthcare and wellness needs, re-affirming Thailand’s position as a leader in medical tourism.
Bangkok Mediplex is a medical complex that consists of clinics and shops selling health products. The facade is a vital part of communicating this dynamic vision.
The concept was based on the cellular structure that makes up much of the human body. This idea was developed into the dynamic skin of glass and lattice that now envelopes the building.
This has enhanced the building in a number of ways. During the day, light floods the building, while at night, custom lighting turns it into a glowing beacon.
The four-story building is located in downtown Sukhumvit and accessible from Ekkamai BTS Sky train station with a height of 18 m and a length of 130 meters, covering an area of over 2340 square meters.
Each of the mall’s floors is divided into four categories; medilifestyle shops and restaurants, general medical care, health and beauty, holistic and traditional medicine.
There are a total of 39 outlets available almost around the clock to serve both local and international residents as well as tourists. Core tenants are a mix of cosmetic and beauty consultants, with supporting stores located below and food and beverage outlets on ground level.
The curved corridors are designed to showcase core tenants, giving key corner positions to more outlets than a conventional grid system. Inside, a dramatic chandelier illuminates the atrium and strong blocks of colour add vibrancy and aid wayfinding.
