Rooftop at London College of FashionThe rooftop at London College of Fashion, part of the original design for the central London building, has been transformed by architecture practice Studio Weave. The space is an homage to textiles and concrete.
Rooftop at London College of FashionConceived as an outdoor space for students to relax in, the new roof garden has been laid with brightly coloured decking in a herringbone pattern – a nod to the college’s textile roots that has the dual role of emphasising the bold modernist concrete frame of the building.
Rooftop at London College of FashionThe mixture of planters, seats and tables will enable learning in small groups as well as the Fashion Space Gallery’s events programme. An event series curated by Meneesha Kellay as part of the London Festival of Architecture will launch this newly  invigorated environment above the rooftops of central London.

  1. I think it looks incredible, especially from an aerial view. I really like the fact that the design is based on textiles and that it pays homage to the fashion studio. The use of colour is very well applied too. Do you think anything could have been done to improve it? I really like that the space can actually be utilised.
