Grace on CoronationZaha Hadid Architects presents the new project, implemented by the developer Sunland Group, three towers with a total of 486 apartments and eight villas on the Brisbane River in Toowong.
Grace on CoronationThe project, Grace on Coronation, will be built on the site of the ABC’s former Queensland headquarters, which the public broadcaster left in 2006.
Grace on CoronationSunland bought the land last September for $20 million and plans to start demolition of ABC studios next month.
Grace on CoronationThe Sunland Group filed an application these days with the Brisbane City Council for its proposed $420 million residential development.
Grace on Coronation“The design tapers each structure to minimise their footprint and open the riverfront to the public, ­creating a vibrant civic space for Toowong within a new riverside park,” says Zaha Hadid.
Grace on CoronationThe towers, being developed by Sunland Group, will have curtain wall glazing, overlayed with a quilted diamond pattern made from glass reinforced concrete. If approved, construction of the development would start late 2015.
