Wadden Sea CentreWadden Sea Centre and the city of Esbjerg now announce the proposal by Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter as the winning scheme for the extension and refurbishment of the Wadden Sea Centre in Vester Vedsted, the southern part of Jutland, Denmark. The Wadden Sea is Denmark’s largest National park and appointed World Heritage by UNESCO.

It has been essential to create a building complex that relates specifically to the particular landscape and at the same time carry traditional building techniques into a contemporary expression.
