Australia 108The Fender Katsalidis-designed Australia 108 was unveiled by its developers on 15 January 2015. When completed in 2019, the tower will stand at 100 storeys, 25m higher than the Eureka Tower — and have more than 1100 units.
Australia 108The Victorian Government has approved what will be the highest residencies in the Southern Hemisphere. Yes, Melbourne is set to become home to the tallest residential building with a $900 million 100 level tower.
Australia 108The tower will feature 1105 luxury apartments and a striking starburst at levels 70 and 71 that will house Melbourne’s highest and largest recreational facilities area for residents, including two infinity pools with the best views in Australia.
Australia 108“Australia 108 will be the most striking building on Melbourne’s skyline and a great example of the strength of homegrown Melbourne architecture,” he said.
Australia 108Also newly approved is a 75-level apartment tower at 452 Elizabeth St and a 54-storey building at 84 Queensbridge, Southbank. Mr Guy said the three planned skyscrapers, with more than 2000 units, would involve an $830 million investment and 5800 construction jobs.
Australia 108“These new buildings will cater for those choosing to live in our exciting, vibrant CBD area, which is fast on track to be the first true 24-hour central city in Australia,” he said.
