The images of Laurian Ghinitoiu, Romanian architect and photographer who currently lives in Berlin, take us to a better understanding of the exterior (part 1/2) of Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow, recently completed by OMA. “In 2015 we open a new permanent home in Gorky Park, renovating a Soviet-era building with one of the most important architects of our time – Rem Koolhaas. I am certain that our collaboration helped us to create a new vision for contemporary art in Russia. Together with our Garage team, we breathe life back into a site which was derelict and abandoned for over two decades” says Dasha Zhukova, Garage Founder.
