Benoy is excited to announce that the AU$350 million redevelopment of Mandurah Forum in Western Australia has now been officially launched. Mandurah Forum is located in Western Australia’s second largest city and will be one of the state’s largest regional shopping centres once the revitalisation is complete. The upgrade will transform Mandurah Forum into a major regional retail destination.

The 30-year-old shopping centre will double in size during the work, expanding its retail floor space with an additional of 26,200 sqm and will include two additional department stores and more than 220 new specialty stores. As the retail sector continues to evolve, the development is following the trend to become more leisure-orientated; placing an emphasis on Food and Beverage offers, fresh markets and spaces for ‘Pop-up’ and independent retailers.

Embracing an indoor-outdoor concept, a new partially externalised area will also be introduced. The development’s concept design has drawn inspiration from the geography of the surrounding Mandurah area and the relaxed coastal lifestyle; celebrating the city’s location with the seaside to the West and hills to the East. The concept will help to create a different character for each of the zones and provide a balanced retail experience for the development as a whole.
