The master plan is conceived as a series of neighborhoods along the coastline, ranging from high density areas in the north part of the island to a low density and natural area in the south part. The neighborhoods are tied together by the central public park that leads to the centrally located main beach. The eastern most tip of the island is the location of nine grand luxury villas with private beaches.
The master plan is based on a grid who starts from the structure of the Marinas. Derived from the romanian history the grid is a location map of densities when the locations are orthogonal to each other and the densities involved are identical, like a system of points, then we have a Cartesian grid – the template of traditional building design. In our project, ‘grid’ becomes a set for a variety of probabilities…
The arrangement of buildings on the entire island was thought to preserve the integrity of the site and the natural landscape. This choice allows users to have, on the whole site, the views across the entire width of the island. The Island features two differents marinas. The North marina at the main port of the island surrounded by the oceanographic museum, the 5 stars Hotel and SPA, hollidays bungalowsn and the main beach and south marina.
The south marina incuding the shuttle ferry terminal, and others accomodations; thalassotherapy, diving, and sailing centers. The island has eight different tracks. From the main beach, surrounded by numerous equipement, to the wild beach, users will have the opportunity to enjoy by differents ways the natural landscape. The diversity of fauna and flora are reflected on the variety of landscapes projected on the coast of Amenah’s island.
One of its most interesting implications is the difficulty indistinguishing and situating ourself clearly in space. Space pass from inside to outside, putting in crisis the concept of permanence. However, most interserting of the fold is the discovery of spaces of relations and interchange at the level of new organizations and social interchange. The disposition of differents folds connecting the differents places in Amenah’s Island is in resonance with the idea developped above. Source by acau.
