Benoy is honoured to announce another successful year for the firm’s projects at the 2016 MIPIM Asia Awards. This year, four Benoy-designed schemes have been recognised with awards for excellence in real estate development. The awards were presented as part of the MIPIM Asia property leaders’ summit in Hong Kong which honours outstanding projects in the Asia Pacific region. Speaking of the firm’s achievement at this year’s event, Global Director Trevor Vivian commented, “We are honoured to be recognised by the MIPIM Asia Awards once again this year. From projects on the drawing board in Singapore and China to completed developments across the green building and repositioning categories, our teams are thrilled to be acknowledged for Benoy’s strength as a multi-disciplinary design firm.”

W Avenue, Suzhou is a future lifestyle, mixed-use development which is situated close to Taihu at the new Wujiang Central Business District. The scheme spans across two plots of land and will include a 65,000m2 shopping centre, an office tower, a SoHo tower, serviced apartments and a boutique hotel. Through its design, the scheme merges functional art with architecture, landscaping with engineering, pushing the boundaries of collaborative design to create an exciting future destination for the region.

Jewel Changi Airport is set to be an exciting new attraction for Singapore’s Changi Airport once it opens in early 2019. As part of the airport’s strategy to enhance its position as one of the best airports in the world, Jewel is an offering like none other. Beneath its distinctive dome-shaped silhouette, the development will be the first structure in the city to seamlessly integrate an environment of indoor gardens amidst airport facilities as well as retail, dining and leisure. The complex will have five storeys above ground and five below, occupying a total GFA of 134,000 m2.

D.PARK opened in January 2016 and is a renovated and rebranded retail mall located in the centre of Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong. Originally opening in the 1990s, this ageing three-storey mall has been completely transformed and reimagined from a traditional shopping centre into a thriving community hub with a specific focus on the needs of young families. The design philosophy behind the project, as well as the scheme’s facilities, transport network and community engagement, have all combined to achieve the transformation of D.PARK into a vibrant first-of-its-kind community asset.

DFL Mall of India is a landmark development for developer DFL Limited, establishing its largest offer in the country with the 120,000m2 retail scheme. With over 430 outlets, 140 restaurants and cafes and a 43,000m2 indoor entertainment hub, the comprehensive development brings a new multi-activity hub to the region. Qualifying for LEED Gold certification, DLF Mall of India features several key sustainability strategies including a landscaped open plaza and amphitheatre to drive the scheme’s environmental agenda.
