Kengo Kuma presents a complex wirh 6 villas, a greenhouse and a pavilion for Yoga in the Bukit peninsula in the southern part of Bali.
The project of 3600 m2 called ‘Tsubomi villas’, was inspired by the flower bud, translating the name by the Japanese, with a unique leaf structure that envelops the floor space up to the cover.
Made of horizontal wood laminate, its shape lying on a small body of water is well integrated with the nature of the place, surrounded by lush tropical forest.
Placed on a sandstone cliff overlooking the sea coast , the organic structure of the villas is open to the sea taking advantage of the view of the beautiful coast of the peninsula.
It is accessed via a catwalk, to overcome the water that partially surrounds the villa, enhancing your privacy and in complete harmony with the local ecosystem.
Inside the elliptical shape of the villas encloses the space, open only in the seafront giving it a connotation of privacy and tranquility. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2018.
