The Related Group has announced the June 7 opening of Brickell Heights, a mixed-use property in the heart of Brickell’s South Miami Avenue. The highly anticipated development continues Related’s tradition of excellence and delivers an ambitious blend of design, art and wellness to the vibrant Downtown area. The 690-unit development was launched in 2014 and is now 100% sold-out, closings are expected to begin in early June.
The Related Group has commissioned Arquitectonica and David Rockwell for the tower’s exterior and interior designs, respectively. The towers’ facades showcase Arquitectonica’s award-winning bas-relief design, flaunting a sleek look and modernist concept. For the interiors, David Rockwell, President of the Rockwell Group and designer of the 2009 and 2010 Oscar sets, infuses the glamour and craftsmanship of mid-century design with a contemporary twist, perfectly complimenting the original art installations found throughout the building.
Brickell Heights sports a massive 35,000-square foot mural by celebrated Argentine artist Fabian Burgos. The striking, hand-painted work flanks the then entire exterior façade and displays the artists’ iconic intense color and geometric compositions as a reflection of Brickell’s vibrant, fast-paced persona. Brickell Heights will include a three-story, 34,000 square foot Equinox Fitness Club.
The high performance lifestyle leader’s fifth and largest club in Miami will distinguish itself as a health and luxury haven with a wraparound deck, poolside cabanas and a panoramic yoga studio with ocean views and floor to ceiling windows. The development will also include the first SoulCycle Studio in Downtown Miami as well as sustainable community gardens designed by seed-to-table pioneer, Dylan Terry, and a rooftop pool, among a slew of other grade-A amenities.
Brickell Heights boasts an enviable location just steps away from the two-million-square-foot sprawling Brickell City Centre, featuring luxury retail, cinemas, restaurants, two residential towers and a hotel, further establishing the neighborhood as a 24-hour work/play environment.
