The Design Excellence showcase features the project Tao Zhu Yin Yuan as iF award-winning architectural project selected by the top names in design now.
Jury comment: “TAO ZHU YIN YUAN is a residential project located near Taipei 101 in Taiwan which is an eco-designed, energy-conserving and carbon-absorbing green building to take actions on the most difficult challenges of the 21st century: global warming and climate change.
The structure design is rotated 4.5° clockwise at every floor to a total of 90° allowing sky-villas to plant trees. Moreover, column-free inside space offers flexibel interior design.
It is a vertical forest architecture which absorbs carbon dioxide about 130 tons per year, and its completion is expected in December 2017.” Source and images, Courtesy of Vincent Callebaut Architectures.
