The developer that brought One57 to Billionaire’s Row on West 57th Street has revealed what will be Brooklyn’s tallest tower, until that title inevitably gets dethroned in the development craze taking over Downtown Brooklyn. Rising 68 stories to 720 feet, Extell Development Company’s first tower in the borough marks is the final phase of Downtown Brooklyn’s City Point.

Brooklyn Point which is designed by KPF, rising 68 stories to 720 feet, Extell Development Company’s first tower in the borough marks is the final phase of Downtown Brooklyn’s City Point, will complement the character and quality of the previous City Point buildings – made possible by the rezoning of this special mixed use district.

The tower’s façade features stacked frames that create sculptural relief accented by an interplay of light and shadow. The custom curtain wall’s double-height frames accentuate the verticality of the building and the facetted planes add depth and texture to the exterior. Designed as two folded sheets, the façade features reveals at the northeast and southwest corners and the crown angles up to a point thereby bestowing the building with an iconic profile.

The mixed-use tower will features 458 studio to 3-bedroom luxury residences with custom interiors and retail at its base. Over 40,000 square feet of services and lifestyle amenities at Brooklyn Point include abundant entertainment areas and unrivaled outdoor amenities.This new tower is adjacent to the under-development one-acre park Willoughby Square.
