Timeless City – Riverside Paradise Walk is a 740,000 sqm mixed-use development uniquely situated alongside the Cheng Hua Avenue and Sha He (Sand River) on the East 2nd Ring Road of Chengdu. Lead8 delivered a multi-disciplinary scope as the overall Masterplanner, Design Architect, Interior and Signage Designer for the retail component.
The mixed-use scheme features a 140,000 sqm retail mall, two SOHO, LOFT and hotel towers. There is also a retail street with four SOHO towers adjacent to a residential district. A focal retail and social hub for the surrounding district, the vision for the project is to create a thriving urban centre and an environmentally-friendly atmosphere that seamlessly connects the development with nature.

The design concept has been inspired by the adjacent Sand River. The dynamic architectural form of the development extends the curvilinear appearance of the podium to the towers. The podium encapsulates the concept further by referencing the design of boat hull.
One of the main attractions within Timeless City is the iconic ‘crystal dome’, designed to draw visitors through to the upper levels of the development. The space features highly transparent glass panels for maximum visibility, providing visitors with a strong visual connection to the natural environment and bringing to life the vision for this future urban destination.
