The name of our pavilion is “Gallery of __”. Our pavilion is like a gallery of nature and creation and all our guests will get a clear picture of the best we have in Estonia related to the topic of EXPO Milano. Our pure nature allows us to grow nutritious food and moreover, we have even generation’s long traditions to harvest it straight from the forests.

It brings us to another topic, wild nature that is unbelievable close to the cities and is made comfortable to visit for everybody. Using smart technologies we are saving lot of people’s time, energy and environment. For example using digital signature saves already today in Estonia stack of paper high as Eiffel Tower every month and a week of working time every year.

These are just few examples of successful stories we are going to present in our pavilion. The pavilion will be linked to the main theme by the green execution of the pavilion and the subsequent recycling of its modules, a food programme paying tribute to organic Estonian raw ingredients plus talented chefs and the permanent exhibition recounting on both floors 1 and 2 Estonia’s stories born in nature, given a novel form and functionality by means of contemporary technology and design.

Sustainability is at the heart of our pavilion concept. The pavilion will compose of wooden “nestboxes” stacked off-centre like cubes, forming the main volume of the building. The core elements in addition to nestboxes are energy swings. After the end of the EXPO, these modular-assembly elements and swings would travel back to Estonia and be used there as children’s play grounds, natural viewing points or, for instance, bus stop shelters.

Technology and connectivity will be extremely present in the pavilion. We will bring to Milano our story of ICT that is unique in whole world. Many countries are still considering taking into the use of solutions we already have for last 10 years. As we have experienced there are lot of technology that can save so much time and energy every single day and we intend to present it.

The core of our pavilion is swinging that produces kinetical energy. We want our guests to become part of our pavilion and by swinging they can produce energy. We are also taking our guests to Estonian forests, live! We are presenting live pictures from birdnests and live voices from the forests. Our pavilion is made of wood, comes from our own forests and will be reused in Estonia.

We intend to showcase Estonian cuisine, high-quality Estonian raw ingredients and our chefs’ knowledge, based on both the traditions of Estonian food and the principles of the New Nordic Cuisine. The dominant section of the space on floor 1 will be taken up by an open kitchen, which will also serve as an appetising bar, lined with herbs, with four points of sale. The open kitchen will be staffed by Estonia’s top chefs, with fresh and wholesome food being prepared on the premises, under people’s eyes.

The most used corn in Estonian is rye and in addition to a big open kitchen on the first floor there will be a rye-themed snack bar also on the second floor. On the first floor shows are given by top chefs from different part of Estonia, so it is guaranteed that our guests can experience the memorable taste of pure unprocessed ingredients in rye food and drinks.

For conclusion:
Estonia blends of nature, pure ingredients and very modern information society. Thanks to this concept Estonia can offer memorable visit to our guests and most modern and convenient environment for business. Guests at the pavilion will be free to choose what activities, facts or stories to weave into their personal experience of Estonia. In any case it will be positive.
