The flowing, metallic modern stadium features a horseshoe-shaped seating arrangement that is open on one end – similar to the historic LA Coliseum.

At the center of the open peristyle end is a tower of about 120 feet that will become a signature feature for each team.

During Chargers game, it may house encapsulated electric charges, and during Raiders games, it would feature a flaming cauldron in Davis’s honor.

The renderings show an open-air stadium wrapped in steel bands, its seating shaded by canopies, with features that range from a nearby stage for live music performances to an authentic farmers’ market.

Outside, towering screens would carry game-day highlights that could be viewed from the parking lots.

“We wanted the building to be iconic and sleek, like a luxury sports car,” said David Manica, president of Manica Architecture, who is designing the stadium. “Very aerodynamic, in motion, flowing lines from every angle.”
