The design of a new multi- purpose hall for the National Feng Shan Senior High School will be a continuation of the schools current layout due to its historical value. This development will form a new entrance for the building.
Initial design follow the predetermined 40 feet wide road with 2 rows of tall palm tree layout, these features were identified by the head of school to be part of many key memories for both staff and students over the past 30 years. The building respects and accommodates space for the tree and plant life while enhancing the vertical r4eading of the building at the same time.
The design process included a vigorous investigation into the nature of the site and appropriate precedents to inform its final outcome. This research enabled us to reduce the buildings energy consumption in qualities such as water and solar exposure. As an example, the positioning of the main vertical circulation at the entrances behind the louvres allows natural ventilation as well as strengthens the buildings vertical aesthetic. Source by MAUD.
