Inspired by the nearby Yellow Sea, the glass tower rises out of the ground like the sail of a sailboat. “Now that the first phase is complete, we are certain that the cutting-edge architectural style, contemporary design and endless retail options in this complex will attract attention throughout the region,” said John Low, Principal of Laguarda.Low.

The Galleria Mall serves as the first European style shopping center in Donggang, Dalian and officially opened to the public in August 2015. The mall is situated at the center of the site and encompasses four levels of retail, including an H&M, Zara, Nike, Adidas, and an IMAX theatre – all arranged around a central expansive skylight, permeating daylight to all levels.

Laguarda.Low also designed the interior of the mall, which is connected by the service apartment tower. Europark also features the Kardan SOHO office towers, comprising two 10-story office buildings with 201 units each, as well as 100 parking spaces.

The glass curtain wall construction has metal louvered sun screen to limit heat gain. In partnership with landscape design firm SWA, Europark features the biggest green park in Donggang. The development is within walking distance to Dalian Port and the Davos Conference Center. The project is planned for the second phase of construction starting in late 2017.
