The fundamental idea of the mosque is the connection between the worshiper and Allah in the mosque which connects the earth with the sky.
The design of the mosque is focused on creating an open and inclusive atmosphere, which is inviting to worshipers and the community at large.
It is designed to be an icon and landmark in the Creek area by using modern Islamic patterns combined with the hexagon to create a modern Islamic landmark and icon in the creek area. The facade is articulated into an intricate pattern inspired by the arabesque.
It has been designed to allow natural daylight to filter into the inner spaces, while also enabling air flow to naturally ventilate the building like a porous, open volume. Source by Michel Kozman.
