Steven Holl Architects exhibitions at the Roca Beijing Gallery and at the Ostrava House of Art
Steven Holl Architects open a new exhibition, “Idea + Phenomena” at the Roca Beijing Gallery as a part of the Gallery’s “City Reflection” series. “Idea + Phenomena” illustrates the firm’s guiding design approach in which a strong idea lies at the core of each project, informing every decision at every stage, and subsequently shaping that into Phenomena through the work of architecture, architects and collaborators.
Idea + Phenomena
In this exhibition, the viewer will have an inside look at how SHA designs and materializes unique ideas that are centered around the human experience. The exhibit presents 9 projects in video format that have a direct and strong relationship with their context and responsibility towards ecological innovation, whether an urban center or a remote forest site.
“Steven Holl: Making Architecture” at the Ostrava House of Art
The Steven Holl: Making Architecture exhibit will open at the House of Art in Ostrava, Czech Republic on September 21, 2021. The travelling exhibition presents 11 completed projects by Steven Holl Architects. As part of its European tour, the show also includes a twelfth project – the Ostrava Concert Hall, which is scheduled to break ground in September 2022.

The exhibition opening will be streamed live on Facebook and on YouTube GVUO. The House of Art is the tenth stop on the exhibition’s international tour, after shows in New York, Seoul, Nanjing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seattle, Houston, and Wroclaw, Poland.
