Go-Ahead for Housing in Zuidas by SeARCH

The building permit for the 26800m2 housing development in Amsterdam has been granted. This plan responds to the growing demand for housing in the average price of Amsterdam.
These two residential buildings with a total of 197 rental apartments consist of a system of stacked and shifted pixels which generate a large variety of outdoor spaces and readability of the individual apartments.
Start of construction is planned for January 2015; the first homes are scheduled to be completed late 2016.
The project includes a large number of sustainable measures as systems for alternative energy, low temperature heating and green facades for responding also to great ambitions of sustainability requires that the City.
