Benoy has announced this week the launch of its exciting new scheme in Sofia, Bulgaria, Koza Square with developer Garanti Koza. The 535,000 m2 development will provide a new place for the residents of Sofia to entertain and dine. The project includes a two-story retail podium and a restaurant and café offer throughout the masterplan designed by Benoy. There will also be three residential towers, office space, a 300-Key hotel and serviced apartments and an entertainment centre. The brief was to create a new hotspot for the city which would be the venue for all public celebrations.

At the heart of Koza Square will be an artificial beach acting as the focal point, drawing people in with a dazzling water feature performance adding to the spectacle. “Our instruction was to highlight the best of Sofia and offer those living in and visiting the city a new place to relax and enjoy. We achieved this by imagining the shopping and F&B components as parts of a metropolis rather than as extensions of the masterplan,” said Benoy Director Jacqueline Beckingham. The elegant new build scheme has now completed the Concept Stage and is currently undergoing Detailed Design. This is one of three projects Benoy is now doing with Garanti Koza. The developer is actively improving the mixed-use offer in Southeast Europe. Source by Benoy.
