A brand new jewel box property is coming to West 48th Street directly between Rockefeller Center and 5th Avenue. We wanted to offer you a first look at a brand new rendering detailing this new development commercial opportunity with over 30k usable square feet. With visibility from both of these iconic New York streets, the structure was designed with a state-of-the-art angled all-glass facade by Ennead Architects.

Ennead Architects is celebrated for institutional design at projects such as the Rose Center for Earth and Science at the Museum of Natural History and The Standard, High Line. 12 West 48th Street could be a flagship store or a premium headquarters in one of the world’s premier shopping and tourist destinations. The building will have four interior above grade levels, a private rooftop terrace and a below grade level. With over 75 feet of highly customizable frontage on 48th Street, this sleek structure will be a modern addition to the street.

The ground floor boasts a ceiling height of 19 feet and floor space of 7,286 square feet, while the below grade space will have 15-foot high ceilings and 7,525 square feet. The second floor is comprised of 5,707 square feet with 15-foot, 8-inch ceilings. The third and fourth floors will have 15-foot, 8-inch ceilings and 5,750 square feet and 4,714 square feet, respectively.

Located steps away from name brand retailers such as Top Shop, Saks Fifth Avenue and Burberry and experiential flagships such as the American Girl Place and the Lego Store, this under-construction property could house nearly any kind of brand or company seeking a robust street level presence. The project by DNA Development, which will be completed by spring of 2018.
