Google has spent almost $3 billion buying up property in Silicon Valley over the last two years. With a healthy disregard for the impossible, the tech giant wants to bring innovation to all the areas of urban development: housing, mobility, environment, community and economics. To brainstorm the future of cities and build a unique network of urban innovators, All Things Urban and Google are hosting a multidisciplinary event for people with a passion for cities.
The event will feature a remote talk by Michael Tymoff, Google’s Mountain View Development Director, who will tell how the company plans to transform its hometown from a place for cars to a vibrant, mixed-use and walkable place for people with more than 6,000 new homes, plenty of open space, green parks and bike lanes.
