Inntel Hotels Den Haag Marina Beach by KCAP opens its doors

The 4-star Inntel Hotels Den Haag Marina Beach designed by KCAP is now open. The iconic building located at the tip of the boulevard of Scheveningen, the famous seaside district of The Hague in The Netherlands, is a beautiful landmark on the harbourside of the boulevard. The project is a development of VolkerWessels Vastgoed in cooperation with the municipality of The Hague and is part of the redevelopment of the Noordelijk Havenhoofd in Scheveningen.

With the summer season around the corner, the new location of Inntel Hotels Den Haag Marina Beach has opened its doors for guests. The delivery of the hotel designed by KCAP completes the first phase of the redevelopment Noordelijk Havenhoofd Scheveningen. The masterplan for the of 8.8 hectares area in the south of Scheveningen, also designed by KCAP, combines improvements to the existing fishing industry.

A goal realized with a mixed program for recreation and consists of two parts: the fishing harbour with fish processing companies and the seaside boulevard with a program for leisure that includes the new hotel building. Here two worlds meet, tourism and harbour activities. The architectural language chosen for the iconic building in a prominent position at the head of the Noordelijk Havenhoofd refers to the maritime narrative and to the history of the place.

The triangular-shaped volume looks different from each vantage point, becoming a true landmark at the seaside. From afar, the glass facade with the diagonal stripes recalls the dynamics of sails. At a closer look, it also reminds the ripples in the water or those of a sandy beach after the water retreats referring to the particular sea-side experience. The reflections of the sky, the sun, and the clouds on the transparent facade underline the new hotel’s relation with its context.

By night, the building transforms with its illuminated skypool into a welcoming beacon. Thanks to the unique central location on the seaside of Inntel Hotels Den Haag Marina Beach, sports activities, relaxation, and the centre of Scheveningen are within walking distance. The hotel of approximately 11.000 m2 has a program spread over 13 floors. It comprises 226 luxurious rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a fantastic view of the North Sea, the Noorderstrand, and the skyline of The Hague.

The other amenities include a restaurant, a bar, a boarding/private dining room and a wellness area, all conceived to enhance the dialogue with the surroundings. The Spa on the 12th floor is equipped with an infinity pool to enjoy the unique panorama and comprises a steam bath, sauna, and a separate room for massages and beauty treatments.
