Recently opening their newest experiential retail destination, Enlightened, which is operated by the leading Chicago-based cannabis company Revolution Global and is the brand’s flagship Illinois location, thought you’d be interested in a feature design story or Q&A with McBride on their work and the one-of-a-kind space? Going beyond traditional dispensary design which showcases wood and greenery, the high-design and multisensory 4,500 square foot space was inspired by a play on light through the brand’s eponymous moniker.

Utilizing a natural palette for the base elements to offer a calm and comfortable environment, soft light gradients can be seen throughout. Capturing your attention the moment you walk in is the bold, red wall emblazoned with the brand name, while the focal point of the space is the ‘glowing hub’ with lush vegetation at the center. Helping define and separate each product type, the space is broken out into zones and creates a flexible flow as you move through it. Clean and sleek glass shadow boxes perfectly lay out the displays, encased with rich woods, and select technology touchpoints complement the modern fixtures.

Calacatta quartz stone counters, white oak wood and custom millwork and chunky Terrazzo tile floors line and punctuate the space. Located just outside the Chicago metro area in Schaumburg, IL (820 E.
