Kengo Kuma revealed plans for a new hospital building in Setagaya, one of the most populous areas of Tokyo’s 23 special wards.
The new hospital, which replaces the old medical center, covers an area of 2400 square meters organized around a green space that integrates with the natural environment.
An efficient hospital facility with a comfortable space able to accommodate and host the patients and their families, representing a new type of hospital.
The construction materials, lighting, shading, and the visual impact of this project are the characteristics defined by the same Kengo Kuma a “green hospital”, which are expected the opening in 2017.
