ENCIAM + Hans Kenning have built the Ambassador Business Center in Santa Cruz De La Sierra, Bolivia.

The building is in front of the San Martín avenue, an active boulevard full of urban life.

The architectural challenge was to develop the potential conditions of the site about the city.

The goal is to integrate the autonomous form of an office building, with the particular characteristics of the site and the climatic conditions of the tropical savannah.

In front of the building an open space articulate the height of the tower with the horizontality of the surroundings.

That continuous void is designed as a pedestrian surface that release all the outdoor spaces to public use.

As a plinth, this square draws the limits of the site providing a sense of scale and grace to the project and it’s context.

The exposed concrete structure and the glass facade are enveloped with a system of linear balconies and aluminium lattice skin.

This balconies, while providing sun protection, maintains a high level of transparency, that increase the interaction between workplace and the city landscape. Source by ENCIAM + Hans Kenning.
